Testing & quality assurance

Tests play a major role in the development and furnishing of software-based solutions. The importance mandates there being clear and predetermined procedures for the conducting of such tests, which are performed prior to the software’s being actually used.

The intensive performance of tests – and of their being supervised on an ongoing basis – guarantees the smooth functioning of the software and its satisfying of customer wishes.

S&T Technologies’ testing center is staffed by highly-qualified and ISTQB-certified technicians. They have the proficiencies required to handle all aspects of testing. The staff’s technical expertise eases communication with developers.

Communication:
  • Jira 
    Our clients use Jira to contact our team of developers. These contacts involve queries on new functions, requests for features, and reports on defects. The clients are then provided by E-mail with comments and are informed of the processing.

  • Xray
    Xray (a Jira add-on created by Xpand Add-Ons / Xpand IT) is used to record testing proceedings. These results are then categorized and it employs test sets (structured according to components and sub-areas). This categorization encompasses test plans, which are structured accorded to priorities. Xray also has the capability of transforming test proceedings/features/defects recorded into reports on the current status of testing activities.

Testtools:
  • Selenium

    Selenium WebDriver enables our automation of selected test cases.

    Comprised in these cases are both regression tests (conducted subsequent to the alleviation of errors or after the partial acceptance of individual components forming part of our agile/iterative development projects) of individual cases and of Web-based applications  that could be tested on a variety of platforms (Chrome/Firefox/Internet Explorer/…) and of configurations (featuring formating according to language or country).

  • Android Studio

    An application found on an Android mobile device’s experiencing of an error can lead – through the use of LogCat and via Android Studio – to the issuing a precise description of such. This is then processed by the team of developers.

  • Visual Studio 2017 / IntelliJ Idea

    We use Visual Studio 2017 and IntelliJ Idea to support our conducting of testing of components, with this using Junit/xUnit to determine the test and code coverage of the actual software program’s codes.

  • Postman

    Postman is used to conduct interface tests.

    This enables the placement of targeted queries (GET requests), with this including those of and on the interface (POST).
